What do you want?
Tell me upfront
Blame the creatives
Blame the state you’re in
Avoiding the literal
Learning the truth
You’re buying your way in
But who’s sending the money?
Generation of TAKE
At my age you’d ache
Qualities we’ve lost
Quality over cost?
Can’t read your mind
Tell me to my face
The past is a picture
Your choice is the paint
Dried up, engrained
Your brush is stained
I’ll always remember the lies and the pain
It’s too late for “stories”
It’s too late for games.
Want it to suit your aims (but)
I see it clearly: you’re so fucking fake!
Can’t backstab me baby
I’ve seen a knife cut a friend
I've seen the real thing
(repeat)
I’ve seen the real thing
You can’t backstab me baby
(repeat)

I kept coming back to this record over the last month. It just kept being surprising and unraveling itself. I think I got a remnant of Londinium in some aspects, that definitely struck a chord. There's a delicate tension, in the whole album, from flirting with dance beats while never fully going there either. Feelings accumulate but they never get to unleash. You're in between worlds in unstable balance. To me, it is fantastic to have managed to capture such a complex emotion. Agathe The Blues
